The robot will be used to learn how to assemble a robot builder package (scaled down models of industrial robots used for handling, pick and place, welding, other applications) right from its inputs of PCB boards, servo and stepper motors forming the drive elements and then doing control programming on ROS.

One robot will be kept for assembly by students and the other one serves as a reference.

ARTICULATED ROBOT ARM FOR PALLETIZING APPLICATIONS

The robot will be used to learn how to assemble a palletizing robot (four axis) right from its inputs of PCB boards, servo and stepper motors forming the drive elements and then doing control programming on ROS along with understanding of the vacuum circuit. Student will learn how palletizing robot requires a different application set of movements for the following:

(1) : Robotic Arm Schematics

(2) : Servo Motor Concepts

(3) : Robot Kinematics

(4) : Various controlling methods like app, Bluetooth, gesture, remote etc.

(5) : Assembling of mechanical parts, fastening skills

(6) : Circuit Wiring

GESTURE CONTROL THROUGH ROBOT ARM & PALM

This robot arm will be used for Mechatronics, PCB learning and Servo motor Control Programming and Gesture control programming.

AUTOMATED AND BUTTON BASED ROBOT PALM FOR GESTURE CONTROL

ARTICULATED ROBOT ARM (GESTURE CONTROLLED CELL)

The students can understand the basics of mounting and dressing of EOAT, gripper, cable dressing work along with the effect of gesture-based movements on a six-axis robot. They can understand tool frames, TCP based programming and integration with the gesture sensor. All students will be trained on communication protocol for multiple applications with common robot controller with focus on the gesture control The gesture-controlled robot cell will constitute an articulated robot arm with 6 axes along with controller and teach pendant. The robot will be mounted on a Pedestal and will be carrying a gripper which can be used to hold the objects.

The worktable for pick-up and place of components by robot gripper, shall be made of aluminum extrusions with proper covering by acrylic sheets.

The student will make the relevant gestures, which will be picked up and communicated to the robot controller. The robot controller will then request the robot to execute the relevant program.

The solution incorporates the following for the students:

(1) : Gesture based programming which allows them to study the algorithms and different type of interface between human and machine.

(2) : Useful for future advanced human interactive robots and smart systems.

(3) : Study and in-depth understanding of gestates and system control over the gesture actions.

Service Robot: These robots are being developed using the latest technologies like SLAM, LIDAR, IOT, ROS etc and manufactured using the 3D Printing technologies for service industry like hospitality, security and defense. These robots are being increasingly developed for multiple applications/domains as provided below.
